My name is Andrei Novitsky and I'm a founding partner of a venture capital investment company. I´ve been planning to do an EMBA for the last 10 years at least. Two years ago, I had the timewise possibility to do that, so finally, I did it.
"It takes a lot of effort, but it also gives a lot. It gives you a very broad, good look at many aspects of business life."
You will not become an expert in one topic, but you will see a lot of different things. And maybe mostly you see also or understand which parts of business life you need to concentrate on or learn more about.
Of course, everything to do with leadership is interesting, because it hopefully makes me a better leader in the organisations that I'm involved with. But also, everything related to strategy, and the development of the strategy was interesting to me.
I think that the group size was good, there were some groups that were smaller, and you get a lot of different perspectives from the people, they come from different businesses and even outside business, so the more interaction you get with them, the better.
For someone thinking of doing an MBA at Hanken, I would advise them to put an effort into it as they can. It gives you confidence in you in whatever you do now, a very good perspective on business life.
