Triple Crown accredited — globally benchmarked quality

The Hanken Executive MBA is backed by Hanken School of Economics’ Triple Crown accreditation: AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. Together, these are the three most respected international accreditations for business schools, awarded only after rigorous external review of quality, relevance and continuous development.

Fewer than one per cent of business schools worldwide hold all three accreditations. For you as an EMBA participant, this means joining a programme that is internationally benchmarked, academically strong and designed to create insight, renewal and measurable impact.

Key themes of the EMBA programme

Strategic leadership
The Strategic Leadership theme is the core of the Hanken EMBA, containing the most central topics and tools executives need to build and grow successful business. The theme connects strategic capabilities with market opportunities and gives leaders the tools to act purposefully in both short- and long-term business contexts, covering market strategy, market entry, market expansion, market creation, brand, growth mindset, service thinking and service logic. Participants have to opportunity to explore how markets work, how they can be influenced and how organisations can use their capabilities to grow and renew.
Finance and AI
The second theme in the Hanken EMBA, Finance and AI, helps participants make growth, renewal and impact feasible. The theme builds on Hanken’s strong academic expertise in finance, combined with the growing role of AI in decision-making, analysis and organisational development. Together, Finance and AI strengthen participants’ ability to lead with both ambition and realism. Growth and renewal need bold thinking, but they also need financial discipline, feasibility and intelligent use of technology.
Sustainability and governance
The Sustainability and Governance theme equips participants with a broad understanding of the world in which organisations operate. It focuses on the economic, political, economic, and legal, parameters of business, often taking a long-term perspective. Participants will learn the difference between geoeconomics and geopolitics, and understand the impact of natural resource scarcity that shape business decisions of the future.
Personal leadership
The Personal Leadership Journey in the Hanken EMBA focuses on You as a leader of the future. It helps participants understand who they are as leaders, how they mobilise change and how they act in complex, uncertain and demanding situations. The theme helps participants understand themselves as leaders, from mindset and self-awareness to personal strengths and development areas. It also explores how leaders communicate, work with teams, navigate organisational dynamics and handle negotiations and political complexity. Participants practice how to influence others and how they navigate the human side of change, with the aim of creating positive impact.

As part of the leadership and personal development sessions, you will receive individual coaching from experienced business coaches to maximise your personal growth and support your leadership development.
