Programme overview

The xSell RU programme offers fresh business insights and a performance boost to operations of international companies active in Russia.

The programme is tailored for companies wanting to explore and develop more ambitious and effective business strategies in Russia. Companies that see Russia as a strategic long-term market opportunity as well as understand that strategies without people do not bring success, are well suited for the programme. 

Programme content & structure

xSELL RU is a programme to boost business performance for key managers in both HQ and/or Russia. The programme is executed together with  5-7 different non-competing companies.

xSell RU is structured over 3-4 months, the programme consists of two live learning modules and a series of virtual tasks and assignments before, in-between and after the modules. Please note that there are approximately six weeks between the live modules.

The programme features a one day “HQ only” workshop dedicated to getting a clear picture of the common challenges and misconceptions in understanding and supporting the Russian operations. Each participating company benefits from the direct and personal contribution of experts’ consulting in three distinct areas: sales, finance, and leadership.

The language used is Russian with an option of English depending on the choice of the participating companies. Kindly notice that the language used at the HQ will be English. 

Who the programme is for

The programme is for managers in both HQ and/or Russia that are perceived as the key present or future drivers for the success of the Russian (CIS) operations.

We strongly recommend that at least two participants per company take part, in order to achieve the best business impact of the programme.

Programme Director

Peter Zashev

Peter Zashev is a Programme Director at Hanken & SSE Executive Education and an Adjunct Professor at the Saint Petersburg State University in Russia.

Peter has more than 15 years of experience in executive education as a trainer and programme director. Peter also has considerable experience as an international consultant working on projects for the private (international business strategy and marketing) and the public sector (international projects with UNCTAD, the EU and GIZ). Peter’s interests and areas of expertise include international business & entrepreneurship, emerging markets, leadership, change management, business and cross-cultural communications.

His cross-cultural skills are enhanced by the fact that Peter was born in Bulgaria, lived and has business interests in Russia, works in Finland and lives in Estonia. Peter speaks Bulgarian, English, Finnish and Russian.
