The coming years showed that, indeed, they could, and on January 1st 2010, the cooperation resulted in the jointly owned limited company Hanken & SSE Executive Education. As far as we know, two business schools in different countries with a joint daughter company is something unique, with no comparable cases even globally.
Why has the cooperation been so successful? Mainly because the market, our clients, immediately showed its appreciation for this alliance by demonstrating a strong demand for our services. Large, internationally active Nordic companies have appreciated the possibility to work with two well renowned business schools; the network of experts we can offer, our presence in the Baltic-rim region through our SSE sister companies, our international profile and program content – but still having us close by, easily approachable, and easy to work with.
